Four specialist DPFEM incident management staff will be deployed to NSW this evening, to assist with the unfolding flood emergency.

Following a formal request for inter-jurisdictional support to NSW SES, four public information specialists will provide support to the Metford Incident Control Centre.

“We’re pleased to be resourced and ready to support our counterparts in NSW as they respond to the unfolding flood emergency affecting their community,” said Tasmania SES Acting Director, Leon Smith.

“The four SES/TFS State Operations staff will be deployed for five days and will take up critical roles in media management and public information and warnings.
