SES and Kingborough Council are holding a storm and flood community information session for the Snug Community on Wednesday 9 July at 6pm at the Snug Community Hall, Pybus Street, Snug. Join us to hear about flooding and coastal inundation risks around Snug and how to get ready for storms and flood events.
Flooding can cause widespread and significant damage, and it’s important for all Tasmanians to be aware of any flood risk that might exist where they live, visit, own property, or work. Areas around Kingston Beach, Snug and Adventure Bay are prone to flooding. Even if floods don’t affect your property, storms and flood events can mean roads may be cut, and power and internet outages might occur.
Know your risk, get ready, reduce risk where you can, connect with others, stay alert and act safe.
