Hadpsen residents urged to remain vigilant following the downgrading of flood alert in the Westwood Bridge area from Major to Moderate.

Advice from the BOM is that moderate flooding is occurring along the lower Meander River around Westwood Bridge this morning due to floodwater from the South Esk River. No flooding is expected along the Meander River from Meander to Strathbridge.

Since 9am on Tuesday, no significant rainfall has been observed in the Meander catchment, and no significant rainfall has been forecast for the rest of today. 

Inundation of low-lying areas about Westwood Bridge may be a hazard.
