Tasmania State Emergency Service (SES) crews remain prepared while conditions start to ease.

“Tasmania SES has received advice from the Bureau of Meteorology which forecasts that weather conditions are expected to continue easing this afternoon, with more significant falls now contracting to the southeast and in particular into the Huon region,” said Acting Director, Leon Smith.

“With conditions easing in the northern half of the state, Tasmania SES emergency operations centres have been stood down in the northern regional area and reduced to level one operation in the north-west and north.

“Flood warnings remain in place for a number of areas – which are all listed on TasAlert – and these will continue to be monitored and updated to ensure the community have the information they need relevant to their area to prepare to keep safe.

“It’s important to remember that while rains are easing in some areas, soils remain saturated and there is a high potential for there to be trees and debris down.

“타즈매니아 SES는 강과 날씨 상황을 계속해서 모니터링할 것이며, SES 팀이 필요할 때 지원을 제공할 수 있도록 자원을 충원하고 준비할 것입니다.

“I remind the community to keep up-to-date with conditions in their area, and if you haven’t already, save TasAlert and Tasmania SES website and facebook pages for easy reference in future.”
