You are likely to experience a major flood in your lifetime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a major flooding event, roads in and around Mole Creek, Chudleigh, Caveside and Liena are likely to be cut and some areas inundated. If you need to evacuate, you should leave early, before flood waters rise. Listen to ABC local radio for warnings and advice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In such flooding events, the Mole Creek region may become isolated due to flooding of the Mole Creek Road, Caveside Road, Liena Road and Union Bridge Road. Flooding, landslips or fallen trees may also cut minor roads. It is dangerous to drive through flooded roads, particularly in isolated areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even if your home is not inundated, you may be isolated for several days. You should have supplies for up to three days and be prepared for power and telecommunications outages. Note if you are isolated, you may not be able to access medical or other help if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u60a8\u6709\u6d2a\u6c34\u98a8\u96aa\u55ce\uff1f<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Example past flooding events around Mole Creek include the following.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In 2011 there were two Moderate flood events causing damage to some properties.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In June 2016 there was a significant Major flooding. Properties and roads were impacted by floodwaters around Mole Creek and Chudleigh. There was extensive flooding across the Meander Valley area damaging buildings, roads, and bridges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In October 2022 there was a Major flooding event with property and roads impacted, and the region was isolated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u6211\u61c9\u8a72\u505a\u4ec0\u9ebc\uff1f<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Check the map to see whether your home or business is likely to be at risk during a flood.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check if you might not be able to safely get to your home, work, or school during a flood.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u6e96\u5099\u4e00\u4efd\u5c45\u5bb6\u7dca\u6025\u8a08\u756b\u3002\u8003\u616e\u662f\u5426\u9700\u8981\u5728\u5927\u6c34\u4f86\u81e8\u524d\u64a4\u96e2\u3002\u8acb\u53c3\u95b1 <a href=\"https:\/\/d2tv960yzi0spr.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Get-Ready-Emergency_Digital_7-Oct-2024-ART.pdf\">\u70ba\u7dca\u6025\u60c5\u6cc1\u505a\u597d\u6e96\u5099<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 \u70ba\u500b\u4eba\u548c\u5bb6\u5ead\u6e96\u5099\u61c9\u6025\u63aa\u65bd\u7684\u6307\u5357\u3002.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u8a55\u4f30\u60a8\u7684\u4f4f\u5bb6\u6216\u516c\u53f8\uff0c\u4e26\u505a\u597d\u6e96\u5099\u4ee5\u76e1\u91cf\u6e1b\u5c11\u6f5b\u5728\u7684\u6d2a\u6c34\u640d\u5bb3\u3002.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) Forecasts, Warnings, and Observations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>BoM issues a <strong>Flood Watch <\/strong>when predicted weather might cause floods in one or two days. A Flood Watch may<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>be for a specific area such as Deloraine, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be generalised such as for Great Western Tiers, Central Plateau or Central North forecast district.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>BoM issues a<strong> Severe Weather Warning <\/strong>for very heavy rain that may lead to flash flooding whenever this<strong> <\/strong>weather is occurring or is expected in an area. The amount of time between the warning and<strong> <\/strong>the arrival of heavy rain can vary from an hour to 24 hours or sometimes more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are no gauging stations in the Mole Creek, Lobster Rivulet and Sassafras Creek catchments to support BoM to issue <strong>Flood Warnings <\/strong>with specific flood heights for the Mersey River tributary catchments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BoM issues Flood Warnings with specific flood heights for the Mersey River at Liena gauging site with warning of flood heights. As soon as an incident is reported, TasALERT published basic information including the type and location of incident.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No two floods are the same. Floods like the one shown in the map or worse will occur again.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If you live in a low-lying area you may be at risk of flooding. Even if your home is safe, you may need to detour around flooded areas. Never drive through or enter flood waters.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Knowing what to do can save your life and help protect your property. Preparing a Home Emergency Plan is one of the best ways to prepare.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Include weather and rainfall triggers for action in your Home Emergency Plan.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flood levels at Mole Creek and surrounds<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While no two floods are the same, the following table shows what you can expect at different flood levels around Meander. Even if your property is not flooded, you need to think about access routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Minor Flood means<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Flooding is largely contained to the river channel with some minor breakouts into adjacent paddocks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Livestock and agricultural equipment should be moved from low lying areas near the river.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are no buildings at risk of inundation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No properties are isolated<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are no roads inundated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Moderate Flood means<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Water spills over riverbanks and covers larger areas of land.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Livestock and agricultural equipment should be moved from low lying floodplain areas&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some homes along Pioneer Drive, Mole Creek Road and Jones Street and Liena Road may become surrounded by shallow flood waters.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Above floor flooding is unlikely &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Isolation of some rural properties as access roads become impacting some homes and buildings with above floor flooding.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Livestock and agricultural equipment should be moved to the highest areas available.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Above floor flooding is possible for homes along Pioneer Drive, Mole Creek Road, Jones Street and Liena Road.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are increased numbers of rural properties isolated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>General isolation of the Mole Creek and surrounds area<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Major Road closures likely:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"color: initial;\">Mole Creek Road<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: initial;\">Liena Road<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: initial;\">Caveside Road<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>\u4e86\u89e3\u4f60\u7684\u98a8\u96aa\uff0c\u505a\u597d\u6e96\u5099\uff0c\u76e1\u53ef\u80fd\u964d\u4f4e\u98a8\u96aa\uff0c\u8207\u4ed6\u4eba\u806f\u7e6b\uff0c\u4fdd\u6301\u8b66\u60d5\u4e26\u5b89\u5168\u884c\u52d5\u3002.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u6d2a\u6c34\u4e4b\u524d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. \u8a8d\u8b58\u4f60\u7684\u98a8\u96aa<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u5854\u65af\u99ac\u5c3c\u4e9e\u7d93\u5e38\u767c\u751f\u6d2a\u6c34\uff0c\u53ef\u80fd\u9020\u6210\u5ee3\u6cdb\u4e14\u56b4\u91cd\u7684\u640d\u5bb3\u3002\u5728\u904e\u53bb 200 \u5e74\u88e1\uff0c\u5854\u65af\u99ac\u5c3c\u4e9e\u6709 78 \u4eba\u6b7b\u65bc\u8207\u6d2a\u6c34\u76f8\u95dc\u7684\u4e8b\u4ef6\u3002\u672c\u6307\u5357\u65e8\u5728\u5e6b\u52a9\u60a8\u4e86\u89e3\u60a8\u6240\u5728\u5730\u5340\u7684\u6d2a\u6c34\u98a8\u96aa\u3002.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. \u6e96\u5099\u60a8\u7684\u5bb6\u6236<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-normal-font-size\"><strong>\u5236\u5b9a\u5305\u542b\u98a8\u66b4\u548c\u6d2a\u6c34\u61c9\u8b8a\u8a08\u756b<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u601d\u8003\u4e00\u4e0b\u5728\u98a8\u66b4\u6216\u6d2a\u6c34\u4f86\u8972\u6642\u4f60\u6703\u600e\u9ebc\u505a\uff0c\u610f\u5473\u8457\u4f60\u6e96\u5099\u5f97\u66f4\u5145\u5206\uff0c\u6bcf\u500b\u4eba\u90fd\u6703\u66f4\u5b89\u5168\u3002\u5236\u5b9a\u4e00\u500b\u5bb6\u5ead\u4e2d\u7684\u6bcf\u500b\u4eba\u90fd\u7406\u89e3\u7684\u7dca\u6025\u8a08\u756b\u3002\u6709\u6aa2\u67e5\u8868\u53ef\u4ee5\u5e6b\u52a9\u4f60\u601d\u8003\u4f60\u7684\u8a08\u756b\u2014\u2014\u8acb\u53c3\u95b1 <a href=\"https:\/\/d2tv960yzi0spr.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Get-Ready-Emergency_Digital_7-Oct-2024-ART.pdf\">\u70ba\u7dca\u6025\u60c5\u6cc1\u505a\u597d\u6e96\u5099<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 \u70ba\u500b\u4eba\u548c\u5bb6\u5ead\u6e96\u5099\u61c9\u6025\u63aa\u65bd\u7684\u6307\u5357\u3002.&nbsp;<br>\u5b9a\u671f\u6aa2\u67e5\u60a8\u7684\u8a08\u5283\uff0c\u4e26\u8b93\u5bb6\u4e2d\u7684\u6bcf\u500b\u4eba\u90fd\u8a2d\u60f3\u4e00\u6b21\u53ef\u80fd\u5f71\u97ff\u60a8\u5bb6\u7684\u6d2a\u6c34\u60c5\u6cc1\u4f86\u9032\u884c\u6e2c\u8a66\u3002.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u6e96\u5099\u4e00\u500b\u7dca\u6025\u6551\u751f\u5305<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-1
