People who live on the river should relocate any equipment, boats or pontoons that can be moved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Hadspen, there are some properties that could flood in the south of town, near where the Meander and the South Esk meet. The Lions Club Reserve will likely flood, along with the boat ramp and playground. Houses and roads near Beams Hollow may also flood. The stormwater systems in this part of Hadspen have been known to back up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Blackstone Heights, Blackstone Park will likely flood. Very heavy rain could cause landslips along the river, possibly affecting houses. There may also be flooding on the main access roads, Panorama Rd and Blackstone Rd, causing temporary isolation. It is possible that Meander Valley Rd could flood, isolating Travellers Rest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Intense rainfall can cause flash flooding or overland flow. This kind of flooding is hard to predict and depends on where the rain falls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The maps in this guide show the level of flooding that has a 1% chance of happening any year, known as the annual exceedance probability (AEP). You are likely to experience flooding such as that shown in the maps in your lifetime. Tasmanians need to prepare for flood events that may not happen often as well as the minor flooding they may have experienced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even if your home is not inundated, you should be prepared for isolation plus potential power and telecommunications outages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roads that could be flooded include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Meander Valley Rd<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Westwood Rd, at the bridge<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Blackstone Rd<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Panorama Rd<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on where the rain falls and how heavy it is, minor roads and driveways throughout this area may also be impassable. Travel in the area is likely to be difficult or impossible until roads are clear.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are safe at home or elsewhere, it is usually best you stay where you are until the flooding subsides, unless there is an emergency. Roads, bridges and houses flooded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u6211\u61c9\u8a72\u505a\u4ec0\u9ebc\uff1f<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-02b4a79e-e405-4284-b4fc-9780f2e2bb02\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u6aa2\u67e5\u5730\u5716\uff0c\u770b\u770b\u60a8\u7684\u4f4f\u5b85\u6216\u4f01\u696d\u662f\u5426\u53ef\u80fd\u906d\u53d7\u6d2a\u6c34\u4fb5\u8972\u3002.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u8a55\u4f30\u60a8\u7684\u4f4f\u5bb6\u6216\u516c\u53f8\uff0c\u4e26\u505a\u597d\u6e96\u5099\u4ee5\u76e1\u91cf\u6e1b\u5c11\u6f5b\u5728\u7684\u6d2a\u6c34\u640d\u5bb3\u3002.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u6aa2\u67e5\u60a8\u662f\u5426\u80fd\u5728\u6d2a\u6c34\u671f\u9593\u5b89\u5168\u5730\u62b5\u9054\u5bb6\u4e2d\u3001\u5de5\u4f5c\u5730\u9ede\u6216\u5b78\u6821\u3002.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u6e96\u5099\u4e00\u4efd\u5c45\u5bb6\u7dca\u6025\u8a08\u756b\u3002\u8003\u616e\u662f\u5426\u9700\u8981\u5728\u5927\u6c34\u4f86\u81e8\u524d\u64a4\u96e2\u3002\u8acb\u53c3\u95b1 <a href=\"https:\/\/d2tv960yzi0spr.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Get-Ready-Emergency_Digital_7-Oct-2024-ART.pdf\">\u70ba\u7dca\u6025\u60c5\u6cc1\u505a\u597d\u6e96\u5099<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 \u70ba\u500b\u4eba\u548c\u5bb6\u5ead\u6e96\u5099\u61c9\u6025\u63aa\u65bd\u7684\u6307\u5357\u3002.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are a primary producer, the <a href=\"https:\/\/d2kpbjo3hey01t.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Primary-producer-flood-readiness-kit.pdf\">Farm Flood Readiness Kit<\/a> provides advice on preparing for a flood to help protect your business and stock.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u5982\u679c\u4f60\u53ef\u80fd\u88ab\u9694\u96e2\u4e14\u5fc5\u9808\u53d6\u5f97\u670d\u52d9\uff0c\u4f60\u53ef\u80fd\u9700\u8981\u63d0\u65e9\u64a4\u96e2\u3002.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are camping in a flood prone area, make sure you stay informed and move to higher ground early if a flood is likely.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No two floods are the same. Floods like the one shown in the map or worse will occur again.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-4995a9d8-3ca8-402c-aa25-39d3fbada919\"><strong>If you live in a low-lying area you may be at risk of flooding. Even if your home is safe, you may need to detour around flooded areas. Never drive through or enter flood waters.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-98fb3b4e-3110-4ebb-9455-af2d570ed677\"><strong>Knowing what to do can save your life and help protect your property. If the major flood is occurring in the Meander, the river height will be 7m at Westwood Bridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on where heavy rain falls there may also be flash flooding in the urban areas of Hadspen and Blackstone Heights. This kind of flooding is more difficult to predict and can depend on the stormwater system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Major flooding could be caused by 30mm in one hour, or 100mm over 24 hours in Hadspen, for example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"
