The corner of Seven Mile Beach Road and Estate Drive may flood from direct rainfall. Other areas at risk of direct rainfall flooding include<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>large parts of Roches Beach<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>properties south of Ringwood Rd and Mannata St<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>other low-lying streets in Lauderdale and International Close in Acton Park.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The maps in this guide show the level of flooding that has a 1% chance of happening any year from both rivers and direct rainfall flooding (known as 1% annual exceedance probability, or AEP). You are likely to experience flooding such as that shown in the maps in your lifetime. Tasmanians need to prepare for flood events that may not happen often, as well as the minor flooding they may have experienced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clarence City Council has flood mapping across this area that includes the modelled effects of climate change. You can see it online at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ccc.tas.gov.au\/living\/your-neighbourhood\/flooding\/\">www.ccc.tas.gov.au\/living\/your-neighbourhood\/flooding\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even if your home is not at risk of flooding, you should prepare for isolation plus potential power and telecommunications outages. Depending on where the rain falls and how heavy it is, local and major roads may be impassable. For example, Seven Mile Beach Road may be flooded by Acton Creek, and Acton Road may see flash flooding. Travel in the area is likely to be difficult or impossible until roads are clear.&nbsp; If you are safe at home or elsewhere, it is usually best you stay where you are until the flooding subsides, unless there is an emergency. If you need to evacuate, you should leave early, before flood waters rise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u8acb\u6536\u807d ABC \u672c\u5730\u96fb\u53f0 936AM \u7684\u8b66\u544a\u8207\u5efa\u8b70\u3002.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u60a8\u6709\u6d2a\u6c34\u98a8\u96aa\u55ce\uff1f<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The most serious flood in recent history was in June of 1974. June of 2011 also saw serious flooding in this area. Damaging storms and tides have also been recorded. In July 2011 tides and winds caused flooding and damage in Lauderdale and Roches Beach. This kind of weather may be more common in the future due to increased average temperatures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u8acb\u6ce8\u610f<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u6b64\u8a08\u756b\u4e2d\u7684\u5730\u5716\u986f\u793a\u4e86\u5854\u65af\u99ac\u5c3c\u4e9e\u7b56\u7565\u6027\u6d2a\u6c34\u7e6a\u88fd (TSFM) \u5c08\u6848\u7684\u8cc7\u6599\u3002\u60a8\u53ef\u4ee5\u4f7f\u7528\u6d2a\u6c34\u707d\u5bb3\u8cc7\u6599\u5716\u5c64\u4f86\u63a2\u7d22\u9019\u4e9b\u8cc7\u6599 <a href=\"file:\/\/hbtshares1\/SESGIS\/SharedInternalData\/Southern%20region\/22.Clarence\/22.1%20Coal%20River%20Richmond%20and%20surrounds\/www.thelist.tas.gov.au\">www.thelist.tas.gov.au<\/a>. Clarence City Council has detailed flood studies for these areas, see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ccc.tas.gov.au\/living\/your%20neighbourhood\/flooding\/\">www.ccc.tas.gov.au\/living\/your neighbourhood\/flooding\/<\/a>. CCC \u6578\u64da\u5305\u542b\u6c23\u5019\u8b8a\u9077\u9810\u6e2c\uff0c\u986f\u793a\u6df9\u6c34\u6df1\u5ea6\u8f03\u6dfa\uff0c\u56e0\u6b64\u6df9\u6c34\u7bc4\u570d\u8207\u4e0b\u5716\u6240\u793a\u7684 TSFM \u7bc4\u570d\u622a\u7136\u4e0d\u540c\uff0c\u901a\u5e38\u66f4\u5927\u3002\u9019\u4e9b\u6578\u64da\u662f\u57fa\u65bc\u904e\u53bb\u7684\u5e73\u5747\u964d\u96e8\u91cf\u3002.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"724\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/d2tv960yzi0spr.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Roches-Beach-flood-map-724x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Roches Beach flood map -
