The maps show where a flood is likely to reach. The darker blue areas are the most likely to flood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on the timing of the flood peak and high tide, levels can vary somewhat from those shown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a major flood, roads in and around Don to Acacia Hills will be cut before some areas are flooded. If you need to evacuate, you should leave early, before flood waters rise. Go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tasalert.com\">www.tasalert.com<\/a> or listen to ABC local radio for warnings and advice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flood waters may isolate your home for several days. Even if your home is not flooded, you may not be able to access help if needed. Floods like the one shown in the map or worse will occur again.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If you live in a low-lying area you may be at risk of flooding. Even if your home is safe, you may need to detour around flooded areas. Never drive through or enter flood waters.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Knowing what to do can save your life and help protect your property. A Flood Watch may:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>be for a specific area such as North West Coast forecast district, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be generalised such as for north-west river basins<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bureau of Meteorology (The Bureau) issues <strong>Severe Weather Warning<\/strong> for Heavy rain with the potential to cause flash flooding when forecast or observed weather may cause flash flooding. A Severe Weather Warning may:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>be for a specific area such as Devonport and surrounds; or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a generalised areas such as north west cost between Burnie and Port Sorell and north of a line from Ridgely and Elizabeth Town.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Bureau of Meteorology does not provide a specific flood warning for the Don River.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rainfall Monitoring and Observations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a BoM sub-daily rainfall gauge at Sheffield, located on the southern edge of the Don River catchment.&nbsp; Rainfall at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bom.gov.au\/products\/IDT60801\/IDT60801.94955.shtml\">Sheffield<\/a> can be monitored on the Bureau website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The N.W. Tasmania (West Takone) Radar is useful to be aware of where heavy rainfall is falling.&nbsp; Radar Rainfall estimates can fill in gaps in areas where there are no rainfall stations. insurance papers<br>&#8211; passports and<br>&#8211; birth certificates<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u5b9a\u671f\u6d4b\u8bd5\u6536\u97f3\u673a\u548c\u624b\u7535\u7b52\u91cc\u7684\u7535\u6c60\u3002.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. <strong>Reduce your risk from flooding where you can<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u5728\u8d2d\u4e70\u3001\u7ef4\u62a4\u6216\u5f00\u53d1\u623f\u4ea7\u65f6\uff0c\u8bf7\u8003\u8651\u98ce\u66b4\u3001\u6d2a\u6c34\u548c\u5176\u4ed6\u5371\u9669\u3002.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u4fee\u526a\u6216\u79fb\u9664\u60a8\u5bb6\u4e2d\u3001\u5546\u94fa\u4e0a\u65b9\u6216\u60a8\u7269\u4e1a\u9644\u8fd1\u7535\u7ebf\u4e0a\u65b9\u7684\u6811\u6728\u548c\u6811\u679d\u3002.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u4fdd\u6301\u96e8\u6c34\u69fd\u548c\u6392\u6c34\u6c9f\u7545\u901a\u3002.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. <strong>Connect with others<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u8ba4\u8bc6\u4f60\u7684\u90bb\u5c45\u5e76\u53c2\u4e0e\u793e\u533a\u6d3b\u52a8\u3002\u4e00\u4e2a\u8054\u7cfb\u7d27\u5bc6\u7684\u793e\u533a\u5728\u7d27\u6025\u60c5\u51b5\u4e0b\u66f4\u5b89\u5168\u3001\u66f4\u6709\u97e7\u6027\uff0c\u5e76\u4e14\u6709\u52a9\u4e8e\u6bcf\u4e2a\u4eba\u5728\u4e8b\u540e\u66f4\u597d\u5730\u6062\u590d\u3002\u68c0\u67e5\u5bb6\u4eba\u548c\u90bb\u5c45\u662f\u5426\u5b89\u5168\uff0c\u662f\u5426\u4e86\u89e3\u6b63\u5728\u53d1\u751f\u7684\u60c5\u51b5\u3002.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u4e8e<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5.
