There are also smaller creeks and overland flow paths that may flood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a major flood, Buttons Creek could flood<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Beach Road and nearby properties on Beach Road and Tucker Street<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hugo Court<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Properties at the end of Dysons Lane.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The parks and sports grounds in Ulverstone would be flooded, including<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Haywoods Reserve and the Cricket Club on Parsons Street<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bicentennial Park, Shropshire Park and Anzac Park, along the Leven River<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ulverstone Recreation Ground and Fairway Park, on Water Street<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The caravan park on Water Street could be flooded if heavy rain falls in Ulverstone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Heavy rain falling locally could cause flooding throughout the township of Ulverstone. Masons Creek may flood Gawler Road and Adaihi Street south of the highway in Ulverstone. This kind of flooding usually lasts only a short time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flooding in the Gawler River could flood driveways, roads and bridges on<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>West Gawler Road<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preston Road, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Isandula Road<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Flooding in the upper parts of Buttons Creek could flood driveways, roads and bridges on<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Castra Rd<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Edinborough Rd (Abbotsham).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This could mean that properties and communities become isolated, depending on the condition of alternative routes. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even if your home is not inundated, you should be prepared for isolation plus potential power and telecommunications outages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Travel in the area is likely to be difficult or impossible until roads are clear.&nbsp; If you are safe at home or elsewhere, it is usually best you stay where you are until the flooding subsides, unless there is an emergency. If you need to evacuate, you should leave early, before flood waters rise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The maps in this guide show the level of flooding that has a 0.5%, 1% and 2% chance of happening any year, known as the Annual Exceedance Probability (AEP). You are likely to experience flooding such as that shown in the maps in your lifetime. These flood events damaged and destroyed bridges and roads and flooded houses.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u6211\u5e94\u8be5\u600e\u4e48\u505a\uff1f<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u67e5\u770b\u5730\u56fe\uff0c\u4e86\u89e3\u60a8\u7684\u4f4f\u5b85\u6216\u5546\u5bb6\u662f\u5426\u53ef\u80fd\u53d1\u751f\u6d2a\u6c34\u3002.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u8bc4\u4f30\u60a8\u7684\u4f4f\u5b85\u6216\u4f01\u4e1a\uff0c\u5e76\u505a\u597d\u51c6\u5907\u4ee5\u6700\u5927\u7a0b\u5ea6\u5730\u51cf\u5c11\u6f5c\u5728\u7684\u6d2a\u6c34\u635f\u5bb3\u3002.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u6d2a\u6c34\u671f\u95f4\uff0c\u68c0\u67e5\u60a8\u662f\u5426\u80fd\u591f\u5b89\u5168\u5730\u5230\u8fbe\u5bb6\u3001\u5de5\u4f5c\u5730\u70b9\u6216\u5b66\u6821\u3002.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare your home or business to minimise possible flood damage. There is a guide to help you Get ready for emergencies \u2013 see ses.tas.gov.au.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u5982\u679c\u60a8\u53ef\u80fd\u88ab\u9694\u79bb\u5e76\u4e14\u5fc5\u987b\u83b7\u5f97\u670d\u52a1\uff0c\u60a8\u53ef\u80fd\u9700\u8981\u63d0\u65e9\u64a4\u79bb\u3002.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Floods like the one shown in the map, or worse, will occur again. No two floods are the same.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u5982\u679c\u60a8\u4f4f\u5728\u4f4e\u6d3c\u5730\u533a\u6216\u9760\u8fd1\u6c34\u9053\uff0c\u60a8\u7684\u623f\u5c4b\u53ef\u80fd\u4f1a\u88ab\u6df9\u6ca1\u3002\u5373\u4f7f\u60a8\u7684\u5bb6\u662f\u5b89\u5168\u7684\uff0c\u60a8\u4e5f\u53ef\u80fd\u9700\u8981\u7ed5\u8fc7\u6d2a\u6c34\u5730\u533a\uff0c\u6216\u8005\u60a8\u7684\u9053\u8def\u901a\u884c\u53ef\u80fd\u4f1a\u53d7\u5230\u963b\u788d\u3002\u5207\u52ff\u9a7e\u8f66\u8fdb\u5165\u6216\u8fdb\u5165\u6d2a\u6c34\u533a\u57df\u3002\u9053\u8def\u548c\u6865\u6881\u53ef\u80fd\u88ab\u51b2\u6bc1\u6216\u4e0d\u5b89\u5168\u3002\u8bf7\u907f\u514d\u5728\u6d2a\u6c34\u671f\u95f4\u51fa\u884c\u3002.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u4e86\u89e3\u8be5\u600e\u4e48\u505a\u53ef\u4ee5\u62ef\u6551\u4f60\u7684\u751f\u547d\u5e76\u5e2e\u52a9\u4fdd\u62a4\u4f60\u7684\u8d22\u4ea7\u3002\u5236\u5b9a\u5bb6\u5ead\u5e94\u6025\u8ba1\u5212\u662f\u51c6\u5907\u5de5\u4f5c\u7684\u6700\u4f73\u65b9\u6cd5\u4e4b\u4e00\u3002\u51b3\u5b9a\u5929\u6c14\u548c\u964d\u96e8\u89e6\u53d1\u6761\u4ef6\uff0c\u4ee5\u4fbf\u77e5\u9053\u4f55\u65f6\u91c7\u53d6\u884c\u52a8\u3002.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u6fb3\u5927\u5229\u4e9a\u6c14\u8c61\u5c40\u5929\u6c14\u9884\u62a5\u3001\u8b66\u544a\u548c\u89c2\u6d4b<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u8be5\u5c40\u53d1\u5e03 <strong>\u7279\u5927\u66b4\u96e8\u9884\u8b66\uff0c\u6076\u52a3\u5929\u6c14\u9884\u8b66\u548c\/\u6216\u96f7\u66b4\u9884\u8b66\uff0c\u53ef\u80fd\u5bfc\u81f4\u5c71\u6d2a\u66b4\u53d1 <\/strong>\u6bcf\u5f53 <strong>\u5927\u96e8 <\/strong>\u8b66\u544a\u548c\u66b4\u96e8\u53d1\u751f\u4e4b\u95f4\u7684\u65f6\u95f4\u53ef\u4ece\u4e00\u5c0f\u65f6\u5230 24 \u5c0f\u65f6\u6216\u66f4\u957f\u65f6\u95f4\u4e0d\u7b49\u3002.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whenever rain that may lead to flooding in this area is expected, the Bureau will issue:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A Flood Watch \u2013 a &#8220;heads up&#8221; early advice of forecast weather that may lead to flooding<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A Flood Warning \u2013 giving a prediction of when flooding is likely to develop at gauge locations and possibly forecasting the likely peak river level.&nbsp; Warnings are updated regularly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There are no formal warning levels for waterways in this area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u964d\u6c34\u89c2\u6d4b <\/strong>at Forthside and Sprent can indicate possible flood risks. Given the very short warning times, it is best to act on the predictive BoM warnings rather than wait for any flood alerts during rainfall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u8fd9 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bom.gov.au\/products\/IDR523.loop.shtml#skip\">West Takone Radar<\/a> is useful to be aware in real-time where heavy rainfall is falling.&nbsp; Even if your property is not flooded, you need to think about access. Different levels of rainfall can cause flooding depending on its intensity, duration and how wet the ground is beforehand and where the rain falls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u8f7b\u5ea6\u6d2a\u6c34<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A minor flood can inundate parkland, drainage areas, low lying gardens, paddocks, orchards and farmland as well as riverside and creekside areas in the town of Ulverstone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If stormwater systems are blocked, local areas of flooding may occur. In coastal areas, if heavy rain or storms occur during a high tide, this can be more common.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There may also be some flooding across minor roads and low-lying streets. Equipment and stock should be moved for their safety, and pets secured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u4e2d\u5ea6\u6d2a\u6c34<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There is more extensive flooding of parkland and agricultural land. Some buildings may flood above floor height. Some properties may be isolated for a few hours as minor roads, driveways and bridges become flooded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Gawler River may begin to rise and impact properties on West Gawler Road and Preston Road. Streets and properties near Buttons Creek may begin to flood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u7279\u5927\u6d2a\u707e&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>During a major flood in this area, houses and streets near Buttons Creek and the Gawler River will be at risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Properties on Beach Road and Tucker Street could flood.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Roads will be closed in the Ulverstone township and the rural areas of Gawler and Abbotsham.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Production Drive in Ulverstone, and nearby highway ramps may flood.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other areas will flood depending on the location and timing of rainfall.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Flooding near the coast may increase if there is a high tide, as drainage is slower and groundwater levels are higher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There may be flooding in Masons Creek, affecting Adaihi Street and Elizabeth Street south of the highway in Ulverstone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Major flooding in this area could be as a result of, for example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>130mm of rain over 24 hours in Forthside<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;80mm of rain over 6 hours in
