Native Hut Rivulet may also flood parts of Campania, mostly in the north of the town. Agricultural land will flood and bridges and there may be water over bridges and roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flash flooding can also cause local flooding in this area, including in the towns of<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Richmond<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Campania, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Colebrook.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Flash flooding is caused directly by heavy rain and is difficult to predict. There may be little or no warning other than forecasts for heavy rain or severe weather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The maps in this guide show the level of flooding that has a 1% chance of happening any year, this is known as 1% Annual Exceedance Probability (AEP). You are likely to experience flooding such as that shown in the maps in your lifetime. Tasmanians need to prepare for flood events that may not happen often as well as minor flooding they may have experienced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even if your home is not inundated, you should prepare for isolation plus potential power and telecommunications outages. Roads in the area may be cut, including<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Colebrook Rd<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Richmond Rd<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mud Walls Rd<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fingerpost Rd<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Estate Rd<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eldon Rd.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on where the rain falls and how heavy it is, other local roads may also be cut. Travel in the area is likely to be difficult or impossible until roads are clear.&nbsp; If you are safe at home or elsewhere, it is usually best you stay where you are until the flooding subsides. If you need to evacuate, you should leave early, before flood waters rise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Listen to ABC local radio 936AM for warnings and advice or check TasALERT.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u60a8\u6709\u6d2a\u6c34\u98ce\u9669\u5417\uff1f<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There have been significant floods in the Coal River in 2011, 2009, 1993 and 1986. Parts of this area were flooded in the well known 1929 flood event, and in 1960 it\u2019s said that the river reached the top of the arches on the Richmond Bridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u6211\u5e94\u8be5\u600e\u4e48\u505a\uff1f<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u67e5\u770b\u5730\u56fe\uff0c\u4e86\u89e3\u60a8\u7684\u4f4f\u5b85\u6216\u5546\u5bb6\u662f\u5426\u53ef\u80fd\u53d1\u751f\u6d2a\u6c34\u3002.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u8bc4\u4f30\u60a8\u7684\u4f4f\u5b85\u6216\u4f01\u4e1a\uff0c\u5e76\u505a\u597d\u51c6\u5907\u4ee5\u6700\u5927\u7a0b\u5ea6\u5730\u51cf\u5c11\u6f5c\u5728\u7684\u6d2a\u6c34\u635f\u5bb3\u3002.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u6d2a\u6c34\u671f\u95f4\uff0c\u68c0\u67e5\u60a8\u662f\u5426\u80fd\u591f\u5b89\u5168\u5730\u5230\u8fbe\u5bb6\u3001\u5de5\u4f5c\u5730\u70b9\u6216\u5b66\u6821\u3002.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare a Home Emergency Plan. See <a href=\"https:\/\/d2tv960yzi0spr.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Get-Ready-Emergency_Digital_7-Oct-2024-ART.pdf\">\u505a\u597d\u5e94\u6025\u51c6\u5907<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 \u4e2a\u4eba\u548c\u5bb6\u5ead\u5e94\u6025\u51c6\u5907\u6307\u5357\u3002.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u5982\u679c\u60a8\u53ef\u80fd\u88ab\u9694\u79bb\u5e76\u4e14\u5fc5\u987b\u83b7\u5f97\u670d\u52a1\uff0c\u60a8\u53ef\u80fd\u9700\u8981\u63d0\u65e9\u64a4\u79bb\u3002.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Floods like the one shown in the map, or worse, will occur again. No two floods are the same. If you live in a low-lying area or near a watercourse, your house may flood. Even if your home is safe, you may need to detour around flooded areas or your road access may be cut. Never drive into or enter flood waters. Roads and bridges may be washed out or unsafe. Avoid travel during floods. Knowing what to do can save your life and help protect your property. Having a Home Emergency Plan is one of the best ways to prepare. Decide on weather and rainfall triggers for when to act<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"739\" height=\"523\" src=\"https:\/\/d2tv960yzi0spr.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Campania-flood-map.png\" alt=\"Campania township flood map\" class=\"wp-image-10341\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d2tv960yzi0spr.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Campania-flood-map.png 739w, https:\/\/d2tv960yzi0spr.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Campania-flood-map-300x212.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 739px) 100vw, 739px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u6fb3\u5927\u5229\u4e9a\u6c14\u8c61\u5c40\u5929\u6c14\u9884\u62a5\u3001\u8b66\u544a\u548c\u89c2\u6d4b<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u8be5\u5c40\u53d1\u5e03 <strong>\u7279\u5927\u66b4\u96e8\u9884\u8b66\uff0c\u6076\u52a3\u5929\u6c14\u9884\u8b66\u548c\/\u6216\u96f7\u66b4\u9884\u8b66\uff0c\u53ef\u80fd\u5bfc\u81f4\u5c71\u6d2a\u66b4\u53d1 <\/strong>\u6bcf\u5f53 <strong>\u5927\u96e8 <\/strong>is expected in an area. The time between the warning and heavy rain occurring can vary from an hour to 24 hours or more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whenever rain that may lead to flooding along the Coal River is expected, the Bureau will issue:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A <strong>Flood Watch<\/strong> \u2013 a &#8220;heads up&#8221; early advice of forecast weather that may lead to flooding<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A generalised Flood Warning \u2013 giving a prediction of when flooding is likely to develop.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are no formal flood warning levels for the Coal River or other waterways in this area. Track water levels using the <a href=\"https:\/\/portal.wrt.tas.gov.au\/Data\/Map\/Parameter\/Flow\/Statistic\/LATEST_Flow_MLD\/Interval\/Latest\">NRE Water Portal<\/a>. There are four gauges in this area:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coal River downstream Brown Mountain Road<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coal River upstream White Kangaroo Rivulet<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>White Kangaroo Rivulet upstream Coal River<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coal River at Richmond<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u964d\u6c34\u89c2\u6d4b <\/strong>at<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Colebrook<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tunnack Fire Station<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Campania<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Richmond and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>other nearby rain gauges<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>can indicate possible flood risks. Even if your property is not flooded, you need to think about access and services. Different levels of rainfall can cause flooding depending on its intensity, duration, how wet the ground is beforehand and where the rain falls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u8f7b\u5ea6\u6d2a\u6c34<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A minor flood can inundate low lying paddocks, orchards and other farmland.&nbsp; Stock should be moved for their safety.&nbsp; There may also be some flooding across some minor roads and parkland areas. In Richmond, minor flooding may begin to inundate low lying streets and properties but would be below floor level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u4e2d\u5ea6\u6d2a\u6c34<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is more extensive flooding of agricultural land and some buildings may flood above floor height. Certain streets in Richmond are likely to flood such as<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cosgrove Drive, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Woodburn Close.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Some properties may be isolated for a few hours as minor roads become flooded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u7279\u5927\u6d2a\u707e<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is at least a 2% chance in any year of major flooding that can flood homes and other buildings in parts of<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Richmond,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Colebrook,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Campania and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the surrounding areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This is known as the Annual Exceedance Probability, or AEP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Native Hut Rivulet may flood the northern part of Campania. In Colebrook the main risk is flooded roads from Wallaby Rivulet. In Richmond there are streets that will flood including<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wellington Street<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cosgrove Drive<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Woodburn Close, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>St Johns Circle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This level of flooding could result from about 55-60mm of rain over 6 hours in Richmond, for example. Roads in the flooded areas will be closed, houses may be flooded and surrounding agricultural land will be flooded. This could include infrastructure for electricity, water, phone and internet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many major and minor roads will be closed, isolating businesses, houses, farms and towns. There may also be flooding from heavy rainfall that is difficult to predict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"642\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>\u4e86\u89e3\u98ce\u9669\uff0c\u505a\u597d\u51c6\u5907\uff0c\u5c3d\u53ef\u80fd\u964d\u4f4e\u98ce\u9669\uff0c\u4e0e\u4ed6\u4eba\u8054\u7cfb\uff0c\u4fdd\u6301\u8b66\u60d5\uff0c\u5e76\u5b89\u5168\u884c\u4e8b\u3002.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u6d2a\u6c34\u4e4b\u524d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u4e86\u89e3\u60a8\u7684\u98ce\u9669<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u5854\u65af\u9a6c\u5c3c\u4e9a\u5dde\u7ecf\u5e38\u53d1\u751f\u6d2a\u6c34\uff0c\u53ef\u80fd\u9020\u6210\u5e7f\u6cdb\u800c\u91cd\u5927\u7684\u635f\u5931\u3002\u5728\u8fc7\u53bb\u7684 200 \u5e74\u91cc\uff0c\u5854\u65af\u9a6c\u5c3c\u4e9a\u5dde\u6709 78 \u4eba\u6b7b\u4e8e\u4e0e\u6d2a\u6c34\u6709\u5173\u7684\u4e8b\u6545\u3002\u672c\u6307\u5357\u65e8\u5728\u5e2e\u52a9\u60a8\u4e86\u89e3\u60a8\u6240\u5728\u5730\u533a\u7684\u6d2a\u6c34\u98ce\u9669\u3002.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. \u51c6\u5907\u60a8\u7684\u5bb6\u5ead<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-normal-font-size\"><strong>\u5236\u5b9a\u6db5\u76d6\u98ce\u66b4\u548c\u6d2a\u6c34\u7684\u5e94\u6025\u8ba1\u5212<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u8003\u8651\u4e00\u4e0b\u5728\u98ce\u66b4\u6216\u6d2a\u6c34\u6765\u4e34\u65f6\u4f60\u4f1a\u600e\u4e48\u505a\uff0c\u8fd9\u610f\u5473\u7740\u4f60\u4f1a\u6709\u66f4\u597d\u7684\u51c6\u5907\uff0c\u6bcf\u4e2a\u4eba\u90fd\u4f1a\u66f4\u5b89\u5168\u3002\u5236\u5b9a\u4e00\u4e2a\u4f60\u7684\u5bb6\u5ead\u6210\u5458\u90fd\u660e\u767d\u7684\u5e94\u6025\u8ba1\u5212\u3002\u6709\u4e00\u4e9b\u6e05\u5355\u53ef\u4ee5\u5e2e\u52a9\u4f60\u5b8c\u5584\u4f60\u7684\u8ba1\u5212\u2014\u2014\u8bf7\u770b <a href=\"https:\/\/d2tv960yzi0spr.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Get-Ready-Emergency_Digital_7-Oct-2024-ART.pdf\">\u505a\u597d\u5e94\u6025\u51c6\u5907<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 \u4e2a\u4eba\u548c\u5bb6\u5ead\u5e94\u6025\u51c6\u5907\u6307\u5357\u3002.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u5b9a\u671f\u68c0\u67e5\u60a8\u7684\u8ba1\u5212\uff0c\u5e76\u8ba9\u5bb6\u4e2d\u7684\u6bcf\u4e00\u4f4d\u6210\u5458\u90fd\u6a21\u62df\u53ef\u80fd\u5f71\u54cd\u60a8\u5bb6\u5ead\u7684\u6d2a\u6c34\u573a\u666f\u8fdb\u884c\u6f14\u7ec3\u3002.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3
