{"id":10295,"date":"2025-09-30T15:50:24","date_gmt":"2025-09-30T05:50:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ses.tas.gov.au\/?page_id=10295"},"modified":"2026-02-06T13:31:44","modified_gmt":"2026-02-06T02:31:44","slug":"smithton-northwest","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ses.tas.gov.au\/zh\/flood-plan\/smithton-northwest\/","title":{"rendered":"\u53f2\u5bc6\u65af\u987f\u548c\u897f\u5317\u90e8\u5730\u533a\u9632\u6d2a\u6307\u5357"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Riverine flooding information for the Welcome River, Montagu River, Duck River, Black River and Detention River catchments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Version 1.0 October 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"595\" height=\"843\" src=\"https:\/\/d2tv960yzi0spr.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Smithton-township-floodmap-1pc.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10296\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d2tv960yzi0spr.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Smithton-township-floodmap-1pc.png 595w, https:\/\/d2tv960yzi0spr.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Smithton-township-floodmap-1pc-212x300.png 212w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 595px) 100vw, 595px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u8981\u66f4\u8be6\u7ec6\u5730\u67e5\u770b\u5730\u56fe\uff0c,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ses.tas.gov.au\/zh\/floodmaps\/\">\u67e5\u770b\u5854\u65af\u9a6c\u5c3c\u4e9a\u6218\u7565\u6d2a\u6c34\u5730\u56fe<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The far northwest of Tasmania has several rivers, including the<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Welcome<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Montagu<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Duck<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Black, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Detention Rivers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Duck and Black Rivers, along with their smaller streams, can cause flooding in<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Smithton<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scotchtown<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Edith Creek<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Roger River, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Forest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Detention River can also cause flooding in<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hellyer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rocky Cape, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Detention.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These maps show floods that have a 1% chance of happening in any year (Annual Exceedance probability (AEP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flood levels near the lower part of the of these rivers can change depending on when the flood peak and high tide happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a moderate to major flood, roads in this region could be cut off for some time. If you need to leave your home, it\u2019s important to go early, before floodwaters rise. Check warnings and advice at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tasalert.com\">www.tasalert.com<\/a> or listen to ABC local radio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Floodwaters could leave your home isolated for several days. Even if your home doesn\u2019t flood, you might not be able to get help if needed. Make sure you have enough food, water, and supplies for at least three days, and be ready for power and phone outages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u60a8\u6709\u6d2a\u6c34\u98ce\u9669\u5417\uff1f<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Past recent flooding events across these catchments include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>July 2000 \u2013 3.45m at Duck River.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>October 2022 \u2013 At least six houses were close to inundation and many roads cut.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u6211\u5e94\u8be5\u600e\u4e48\u505a\uff1f<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Check the map to see whether your home or business could flood or be isolated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u6d2a\u6c34\u671f\u95f4\uff0c\u68c0\u67e5\u60a8\u662f\u5426\u80fd\u591f\u5b89\u5168\u5730\u5230\u8fbe\u5bb6\u3001\u5de5\u4f5c\u5730\u70b9\u6216\u5b66\u6821\u3002.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Prepare a Home Emergency Plan. See&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/d2tv960yzi0spr.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Get-Ready-Emergency_Digital_7-Oct-2024-ART.pdf\">\u505a\u597d\u5e94\u6025\u51c6\u5907<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 \u4e2a\u4eba\u548c\u5bb6\u5ead\u5e94\u6025\u51c6\u5907\u6307\u5357\u3002.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you are a primary producer, the SES Farm Flood Readiness Kit provides advice on preparing for a flood to help protect your animals and property. See <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ses.tas.gov.au\/zh\/plan-prepare\/flood-plan\/\">www.ses.tas.gov.au\/plan-prepare\/flood-plan\/<\/a> .<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you will be isolated you may need to evacuate early.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u8bc4\u4f30\u60a8\u7684\u4f4f\u5b85\u6216\u4f01\u4e1a\uff0c\u5e76\u505a\u597d\u51c6\u5907\u4ee5\u6700\u5927\u7a0b\u5ea6\u5730\u51cf\u5c11\u6f5c\u5728\u7684\u6d2a\u6c34\u635f\u5bb3\u3002.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are camping in a flood prone area, make sure you stay informed and move to higher ground early if a flood is likely.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No two floods are the same. Floods like the one shown in the map or worse will occur.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If you live in a low-lying area you may be at risk of flooding. Even if your home is safe, you may need to detour around flooded areas. Never drive through or enter flood waters.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Knowing what to do can save your life and help protect your property. Preparing a Home Emergency Plan is one of the best ways to prepare.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Include weather and rainfall triggers for action in your Home Emergency Plan.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) Forecasts, Warnings, and Observations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bureau of Meteorology (the Bureau) issues a Flood Watch when predicted weather might cause floods in one or two days. A Flood Watch may:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>be for a specific area such as Northwest Coast forecast district, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be generalised such as for northwest river systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bureau of Meteorology (The Bureau) issues <strong>Severe Weather Warning<\/strong> for Heavy rain with the potential to cause flash flooding when forecast or observed weather may cause flash flooding. A Severe Weather Warning may:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>be for a specific area such as Smithton and surrounds; or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a generalised areas such as northwest coast between Cape Grim and Table Cape and north of a line between Arthur River and Yolla.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Bureau of Meteorology does not provide a specific flood warning for the Duck River.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"714\" src=\"https:\/\/d2tv960yzi0spr.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Map-2_Smithton_orthophoto_1pcAEPextent-1024x714.jpg\" alt=\"Smithton Flood map 1pc AEP\" class=\"wp-image-10327\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d2tv960yzi0spr.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Map-2_Smithton_orthophoto_1pcAEPextent-1024x714.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/d2tv960yzi0spr.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Map-2_Smithton_orthophoto_1pcAEPextent-300x209.jpg 300w, https:\/\/d2tv960yzi0spr.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Map-2_Smithton_orthophoto_1pcAEPextent-768x536.jpg 768w, https:\/\/d2tv960yzi0spr.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Map-2_Smithton_orthophoto_1pcAEPextent.jpg 1313w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rainfall Monitoring and Observations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a BoM sub-daily rainfall gauge at Smithton Aerodrome, located on the northern edge of the Duck River catchment, and another at Luncheon Hill just beyond the southern edge of the catchment.&nbsp; Rainfall at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bom.gov.au\/products\/IDT60801\/IDT60801.94953.shtml\">Smithton Aerodrome<\/a> \u548c <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bom.gov.au\/products\/IDT60801\/IDT60801.95956.shtml\">Luncheon Hill<\/a> can be monitored on the Bureau website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The N.W. Tasmania (West Takone) Radar is useful to be aware of where heavy rainfall is falling.&nbsp; Radar Rainfall estimates can fill in gaps in areas where there are no rainfall stations. class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u7406\u89e3\u8b66\u544a\u548c\u5173\u952e\u4fe1\u606f<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u7559\u610f\u5468\u56f4\u53d1\u751f\u7684\u4e8b\u60c5\u3002\u5b9a\u671f\u67e5\u770b\u9884\u62a5\u3001\u89c2\u6d4b\u548c\u8b66\u62a5\u3002.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u6d2a\u6c34\u4e4b\u524d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u4e86\u89e3\u60a8\u7684\u98ce\u9669<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u5854\u65af\u9a6c\u5c3c\u4e9a\u5dde\u7ecf\u5e38\u53d1\u751f\u6d2a\u6c34\uff0c\u53ef\u80fd\u9020\u6210\u5e7f\u6cdb\u800c\u91cd\u5927\u7684\u635f\u5931\u3002\u5728\u8fc7\u53bb\u7684 200 \u5e74\u91cc\uff0c\u5854\u65af\u9a6c\u5c3c\u4e9a\u5dde\u6709 78 \u4eba\u6b7b\u4e8e\u4e0e\u6d2a\u6c34\u6709\u5173\u7684\u4e8b\u6545\u3002\u672c\u6307\u5357\u65e8\u5728\u5e2e\u52a9\u60a8\u4e86\u89e3\u60a8\u6240\u5728\u5730\u533a\u7684\u6d2a\u6c34\u98ce\u9669\u3002.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. \u51c6\u5907\u60a8\u7684\u5bb6\u5ead<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-normal-font-size\"><strong>\u5236\u5b9a\u6db5\u76d6\u98ce\u66b4\u548c\u6d2a\u6c34\u7684\u5e94\u6025\u8ba1\u5212<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u8003\u8651\u4e00\u4e0b\u5728\u98ce\u66b4\u6216\u6d2a\u6c34\u6765\u4e34\u65f6\u4f60\u4f1a\u600e\u4e48\u505a\uff0c\u8fd9\u610f\u5473\u7740\u4f60\u4f1a\u6709\u66f4\u597d\u7684\u51c6\u5907\uff0c\u6bcf\u4e2a\u4eba\u90fd\u4f1a\u66f4\u5b89\u5168\u3002\u5236\u5b9a\u4e00\u4e2a\u4f60\u7684\u5bb6\u5ead\u6210\u5458\u90fd\u660e\u767d\u7684\u5e94\u6025\u8ba1\u5212\u3002\u6709\u4e00\u4e9b\u6e05\u5355\u53ef\u4ee5\u5e2e\u52a9\u4f60\u5b8c\u5584\u4f60\u7684\u8ba1\u5212\u2014\u2014\u8bf7\u770b <a href=\"https:\/\/d2tv960yzi0spr.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Get-Ready-Emergency_Digital_7-Oct-2024-ART.pdf\">\u505a\u597d\u5e94\u6025\u51c6\u5907<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 \u4e2a\u4eba\u548c\u5bb6\u5ead\u5e94\u6025\u51c6\u5907\u6307\u5357\u3002.&nbsp;<br>\u5b9a\u671f\u68c0\u67e5\u60a8\u7684\u8ba1\u5212\uff0c\u5e76\u8ba9\u5bb6\u4e2d\u7684\u6bcf\u4e00\u4f4d\u6210\u5458\u90fd\u6a21\u62df\u53ef\u80fd\u5f71\u54cd\u60a8\u5bb6\u5ead\u7684\u6d2a\u6c34\u573a\u666f\u8fdb\u884c\u6f14\u7ec3\u3002.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u51c6\u5907\u4e00\u4e2a\u5e94\u6025\u5305<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-1 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:19px\">\u51c6\u5907\u597d\u4e86<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u7535\u6c60\u4f9b\u7535\u7684\u6536\u97f3\u673a\u548c\u624b\u7535\u7b52\uff0c\u5907\u7528\u7535\u6c60<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u91cd\u8981\u4fe1\u606f\uff0c\u4f8b\u5982\u60a8\u7684\u5e94\u6025\u8ba1\u5212<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u7d27\u6025\u7535\u8bdd\u53f7\u7801\u5217\u8868<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u98df\u7269\u548c\u6c34<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u6025\u6551\u7bb1<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u6a61\u80f6\u6216\u7ed3\u5b9e\u7684\u76ae\u9769\u624b\u5957<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div
