{"id":3643,"date":"2020-07-08T14:35:43","date_gmt":"2020-07-08T04:35:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ses.tas.gov.au\/?page_id=3643"},"modified":"2024-03-19T11:31:07","modified_gmt":"2024-03-19T00:31:07","slug":"flood-policy-unit","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ses.tas.gov.au\/th\/emergency-management-2\/grant-funding\/flood-policy-unit\/","title":{"rendered":"Coastal and Estuarine Risk Mitigation Program (CERMP)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Coastal and Estuarine Risk Mitigation Program (CERMP) 2022-23 was established under the Emergency Response Fund to deliver $50 million in funding to support projects that reduce the impact of disasters on coastal communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Areas of focus for the Program include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Adaptation and resilience actions, including investment in grey infrastructure and green-blue infrastructure (which includes nature-based solutions)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Planning, including local and regional risk assessments and mapping, business case development, preparation of community focused regional coastal management programs; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Investment in monitoring infrastructure and activities to understand the coastal and estuarine zone over time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This program has been finalised and is not taking new applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A copy of the Coastal and Estuarine Risk Mitigation Program Guidelines is available <a href=\"https:\/\/d2tv960yzi0spr.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2024\/03\/CERMP-Guidelines.pdf\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/d2tv960yzi0spr.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/2024\/03\/CERMP-Guidelines.pdf\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Coastal and Estuarine Risk Mitigation Program 22-23 Approved Projects &#8211; Tasmania<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Project Name<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Project Description<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Approved Funding<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Break O&#8217;Day Council<\/td><td>This project addresses increasing risks to public and private assets from coastal erosion and inundation at the Scamander River mouth when high seas and floodwaters combine during extreme weather.<\/td><td>$165,000<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Sorell Council<\/td><td>The project intends to promote disaster risk reduction in communities.
