For example, they may move livestock and farming equipment from flood prone land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TasALERT is the home of emergency information and warnings for Tasmanians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TasALERT provides users with control over the Alerts they receive. They can receive Alerts as emails and push notifications on their mobile device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To receive rainfall and river alert notifications<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Download the Tasmanian Government&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/alert.tas.gov.au\/about-app\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TasALERT mobile app<\/a> or go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/alert.tas.gov.au\/?view=both\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TasALERT webpage<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set up watch zones in TasALERT that cover relevant River and Rainfall Alert sites. &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To do this first check the list of rainfall and river alerts sites on this page, you will need to set up your watch zone around the site location.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/aus01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Falert.tas.gov.au%2Fabout-app%23at-125&amp;data=05%7C02%7CChris.Irvine%40ses.tas.gov.au%7Cf09b4188dfc347d168b008dda7e098a3%7Ced13a8afa76343dcb114891492b38482%7C0%7C0%7C638851305463385554%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=2uCNwQmzmBXsIvjDmf0hE7T38uQWcUvQG8SgrlDWYd4%3D&amp;reserved=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Follow the instructions on the TasALERT webpage<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the SES &nbsp;rainfall and river alert notifications. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select save. You should receive notifications when a rainfall or river alert is issued in your watch zone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/alert.tas.gov.au\/about-app\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Learn more about the TasALERT mobile app<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why are these changes happening?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Technology improvements are changing the way the Alerts are delivered.
