Taman Albert Hall akan menyaksikan kilauan warna-warni sempena sambutan ulang tahun ke-100 Persetiaan Gencatan Senjata hujung minggu ini, hasil kerja keras Sukarelawan SES yang tidak kenal penat.<\/p>\n

Ribuan bunga popi yang ditenun tangan telah dipasang menjelang penempatan akhir pada Khamis menjelang\u00a0Konsert Peringatan Gencatan Senjata<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Pengurus serantau Perkhidmatan Kecemasan Negeri untuk bahagian utara, Mhairi Revie, berkata ia mengambil masa kira-kira empat jam untuk lapan sukarelawan SES memasang pameran bunga popi bersatu. Ramai sukarelawan SES mempunyai latar belakang perkhidmatan, tambah Ms Revie, dengan organisasi itu sendiri asalnya bermula dari pertahanan awam.<\/p>\n

CWA Tasmania mula mengusahakan bunga popi sekitar dua tahun lalu, selepas menerima permintaan daripada penyelaras RSL Tasmanian Centenary of Armistice, Brian Watson.<\/p>\n

Bunga popi akan menjadi tumpuan utama di Konsert Peringatan Centenary of Armistice yang diadakan pada Sabtu, 10 November di The Albert Hall. Ribuan akan menghiasi halaman hadapan, manakala yang lain telah direka menjadi permaidani untuk menyambut hadirin di dalam. Lebih banyak lagi akan membentuk langsir popi yang tergantung di belakang pentas konsert, di sebalik lukisan yang menggambarkan penandatanganan dokumen Gencatan Senjata.<\/p>\n
