Response Planning for Dangerous Substances (Safe Handling)Workplace Standards Tasmania (WST) are leading the implementation of new legislation in Tasmania for dangerous substances (safe handling). The new requirements include new emergency planning obligations to enhance the safety of handling dangerous substances. The table below provides a broad summary of some of the new requirements related to emergency planning and administration of the Dangerous Substances (Safe Handling) Act and Regulations:
