Emergency Volunteer Fund (EVF)

Emergency Volunteer Fund (EVF)

The Tasmanian Government in partnership with the Australian Government has established the Emergency Volunteer Fund (EVF).

The EVF is a competitive grants program that recognises the significant front-line role emergency management volunteers play in reducing vulnerability and enhancing community safety in Tasmania.

In line with the National Emergency Management Volunteer Action Plan, 2012 (NEMVAP, 2012), the EVF aims to provide additional support to local, regional or state-wide recruitment, retention and training initiatives by state-level organisations and local volunteer units/stations/brigades and clubs.

The applications for 2017 are now open until 31 January 2018.  Enquiries can be directed to Cheryl Ames, SES Projects Coordinator by email: Cheryl.Ames@ses.tas.gov.au or phone: (03) 6173 2887..
