Review of the Tasmanian Emergency Management Plan
The current issue of the Tasmanian Emergency Management Plan was
released in September 2005 and is available (click
here). In line with
requirements of the Emergency Management Act 2006, this plan is
currently under review.
The first round of broad consultation was conducted in May 2008 over a 4 week period. Useful comments were received and only a few issues are not fully resolved as the 2nd round of consultation commences. A summary of the comments provided is
available in the right hand panel.
The draft has been updated and recently the State Emergency Management Committee considered Consultation Draft 2.0. Following discussion it was resolved that some updates were to be included and Consultation Draft 2.1 was to be released for comments.
Please see right hand panel for Consultation Draft 2.1.
The second round of consultation will run from Monday 21 July 2008 - Friday 29 August 2008 (6 week period).
It is anticipated that this will be the final round of consultation, unless new and significant issues emerge.
Again, written comments are welcome, on its structure and content, using the
comments form provided
