Funding Programmes

The State Emergency Service, on behalf of the state of Tasmania, supports and administers a number of initiatives designed to improve Tasmanian communities’ capacity to prevent, prepare, respond and recover from significant emergencies and disasters of all types.  

Funding is available for local agencies, volunteer organisations and state agencies under a variety of programmes listed below:

Natural Disaster Mitigation Programme

Tasmanian Risk Mitigation Programme

Bushfire Mitigation Programme   

National Emergency Volunteer Support Fund

Applications for the NDMP, TRMP, LGS and NEVSF funding rounds are currently closed. The next funding round is likely to be announced in November/December 2008.
